This simple Puerto Rican Adobo Spice Mix is perfect to season and marinates for beef, pork, chicken, or fish. It’s also a great season base for food that is grilled, fried, or roasted. One of the perks of this Puerto Rican recipe is that it does not use artificial additives.

Many will go to the store or order online to buy Adobo Spice because they are unaware they probably already have most of the ingredients they need to make their own homemade Adobo.

It is quick and easy to do, just mix together some coriander, oregano, black pepper, cumin, annatto, paprika, and salt to make your very own Adobo Spice Mix. Store it in a spice jar or other airtight container that can be sealed for up to one year. The salt acts as a food preservative in this recipe.

Use this for any dish that calls for Adobo. It works well with Chicharron de Pollo ~ Puerto Rican Fried Chicken or in Carne Guisada ~ Dominican Beef Stew
