This deceptive Dominican drink does not have chocolate in it. Hot Peanut Cocoa is a peanut flavor milk that has been spiced with sugar, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg to create a sweet and creamy delight.
Blend the roasted peanuts with the milk and half of the sugar. This may take some time, you don't want it to have a grainy texture.
In a saucepan add all other ingredients and sugar to taste.
Heating:
Boil for 10 minutes over low heat.
Remove the cinnamon sticks and cloves.
Serving:
Sprinkle the nutmeg on top before serving.
